I have been a member at East Brighton for over forty years and in that time I have made many friends here. Since I retired three years ago I have become more involved in the club and I see the tremendous amount of work from the staff, all the Committee and volunteers that make this a great club to be a member.

It is an honour and privilege to be Captain. I believe that the traditions and values of the Club are very important and I will try my best to uphold these.

The standard of the course continues to get better all the time and this, along with the recent appointment of new Caterers I believe will strengthen and enhance the reputation of the Club.

The Ladies’ Captain and myself have chosen as our Charity for 2012, Leo House - a local charity which supports children and young people with life limiting conditions and also gives support to their parents.

I wish everybody a Happy Christmas and a very good New Year.
