The Captain’s day for 2011 took place on Saturday 25^th June in once again testing conditions as was reflected in the winning score of 38 points. The Captain’s prize was won by Chris Spalding with 38 points.

A good day was had by all with the highlight of this fun event being the Captain’s revenge which involved a rather tricky pin placement on the 9^th green and any player who 3 putted or putted or chipped off the front of the green being asked to pay a fine of £1 to the Captain’s project, there were many contributors to this and alongside the Raffle £635 was raised towards the new Lighting which is already in place on the Patio area.

The Cheers and laughter that rang around the 9^th green every time a ball disappeared off the front of the green and down the fairway will stay with me for a long time and made the day special for me.
