The Club was founded in 1893 and in 1908, James Braid, Open Champion five times between 1901 and 1910, redesigned the downland course to basically what we see today. The course remains playable throughout the year, due to being built on chalk.
We welcome people of all ages and abilities to the Club. Whether you want to play for fun or take your score seriously, East Brighton provides a challenge for all levels, whilst the historic cosy clubhouse is the hub for social occasions.
