Etiquette & Dress-Code

East Brighton is a friendly, forward thinking and inclusive Golf Club that values its history and established traditions. Our dress code reflects this, and we ask you to support the following guidelines.

On The Golf Course

We do accept that Golf fashion changes very quickly, our current guideline is recognised golfing apparel that can be purchased from a professional golf retail outlet is acceptable. However, we do expect, hats to have the peak forward, shirts to be tucked in and Golf shoes to be worn.

Clubhouse Etiquette

19th Bar: Is a relaxed and friendly bar environment. Clean soft spike golf shoes & hats can be worn. Mobile phones may be used, however, we do ask that you please respect fellow Members, Visitors & Guests.

Oak Room: In order to maintain the traditions of our Oak Room, we ask that smart casual golf clothing is worn. Golf shoes, hats and dirty or wet golf gear is to be removed. Mobile Phone use is NOT permitted in the Oak Room.

Dress code for ‘Club Socials’ will be communicated prior to each event.

We kindly ask that you do not approach other members or guests if you feel there is an issue regarding dress code & mobile phone usage, but report it to either the Office or Bar Staff.
